Team Hurricanes were delighted today to win there 1st ever Tour Stage. Many climbs, a sunny day and several attacks shaped the race in Ochjor - Perm (Stage 2 of Perm Tour). One after another, the riders tried to break away from the main group, though no one could succeed.
When the final climb was near, Team Hurricanes and Aiden Reasor made sure no one could attack by setting a high tempo in the lead. At the end of the climb, only the strongest climbers were in front. With 1.5 kilometres to go, (_Striker_) launched an attack, which Aiden Reasor (Team Ice) and Laurence Womack (Team Hurricanes) easily countered.
Nico Holt lost Aiden Reasor's wheel when the sprint was launched, and Laurence Womack had a close sprint with Aiden Reasor. Laurence Womack was the fastest in the sprint, leaving Aiden Reasor only a few inches behind. Nico Holt, who had no power left for the sprint, secured his third place only 3 seconds later.
I'm happy the team picked me for the stage. I knew I could do it (win), and I wanted to prove it as well, said the happy winner who continued with a smile on his face: My preparations were perfect, I had a perfect day, and I won!. Manager Ed Searle said we are over the moon with this result its been a real tough start to the season and have found it hard to get results, we've always had alot of respect for Womack hes a real gem of a rider and trains very hard at home and deserves all he gats!
